BOOK OF REVELATION

The book of Revelation is not intended to horrify people by unknowable mysteries. Rather, it is a book of encouragement and a book of comfort. It clearly portrays the conflict between good and evil, and gives a resounding conclusion: the Lord of the Universe completely triumphs over the powers of darkness. While we in this world sometimes see only bedlam and meaninglessness, there is a design behind it all which is unfolding by the hand of God who is in control and who loves his creation infinitely. In this way, Revelation is most important.
